Afghanistan: Situation on the Ground

The situation in Afghanistan is far worse than being portrayed by politicians and the media. It is important that we educate not only ourselves but also those around us as to the plight and suffering of our Muslim brothers and sisters. For some time, the Conservative government has been attempting to pass a motion to extend Canada’s mission in Afghanistan until the year 2011. With support from the Liberal government, this motion was passed and Canada is now dedicated to another 3 years of war that NDP defence critic Dawn Black described as, “…a futile mission that will achieve nothing but more broken lives." Defence Minister Peter MacKay would disagree with this assessment and has cited examples of achievement in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban in 2001. Eject America, the cause of the mischief and strife that you suffer today Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, قَدْ بَدَتْ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ “Rank hatred is uttered from their mouths but that which their chests conceal is greater.” [Surah Aali-Imran 3:118] Without doubt, the rank hatred of the Western colonialists against Islam has surpassed all limits. Publishing cartoons insulting RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم again, remaining silent as the Jewish state massacres the Muslims of Palestine and making films denouncing the Qur’an, are but a few recent examples of the crusader contempt against Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is this enmity towards Islam that has compelled Western powers to be actively involved in the affairs of Pakistan, the most powerful of the Muslim states, unleashing unprecedented chaos and bloodshed in the country, whether in the form of bomb blasts in the maj
