Press Release

Muslims in Syria have declared their revolt is for Allah...
so there is no room for Western democracy in it

Muslims in Syria followed the speech of the Egyptian President, Mohamed Morsi at the conference of ‘Non-Aligned' countries held in Tehran, in which he proclaimed the "moral duty" that drove him for solidarity with the revolution in Syria, and expressed his "undiminished full support for it." He then played the same tune as America in calling for the unity of the opposition for building a ‘New Syria', wishing peaceful transition in it towards a "democratic system of governance." He praised the initiative presented by Egypt at Makkah Conference "for getting out of this ordeal," as he called it.   He then said: "The bleeding of Syrian blood is the responsibility of all of us", and that "it will not stop without an active intervention from us ... " We in Syria are surprised at the President in an Islamic country like Egypt, the Kenanah, the land of much bravery, who is considered the supreme commander of an army that for so long defended the Islamic Ummah from the Crusader remnants throughout history. Throughout history, the cities of Al-Sham - from Damascus to Tripoli of Al-Sham, to Al-Quds - witnessed the bravery of this army under the Islamic State, and its defence and protection of Islam and Muslims. Yes, we are surprised that this president has such position: a peaceful transition while watching the bloodshed, and then calling for democratic rule.

He follows the American way of looking at the blood being shed at the hands of the tyrant Bashar and his gangs! It would have been more appropriate for the Egyptian President to announce the mobilisation of the Egyptian army to rescue the Muslims in Syria, from the platform of this ‘Non-Aligned' countries conference, instead of lamenting and crying over the bloodshed in the land of Al-Sham, on the pretext of the moral duty. It would have been better for him, before that, to have refrained from extending his hand to the criminal Ahmadinejad, who has provided the murderous regime in Syria with all kinds of lethal tools for torturing Muslims there. He should have even demanded the expulsion of the Syrian delegation from the hall before he himself entered it, rather than waiting for the delegation of Shabiha to leave the hall in protest against him!

We say here very clearly, that the democratic State mentioned by President Morsi in his speech, which he wanted to attach to us and to our revolution, just as the paid-off Arab satellite channels continue to falsely attach to us, is to please the West. Such a civil democratic State would have no place in Al-Sham, Allah willing. Rather the only valid system in Al-Sham of goodness and blessings would be a rightly guided Khilafah on the model of the Holy Messenger (SAW) and his Khulafaa' Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman and Ali, may Allah be pleased of all of them; those whose names he mentioned without complying with their unique model of governance in their state, the rightly guided Khilafah on the model of prophethood, which we are determined to establish in Al-Sham of victory, Allah willing. Indeed, there should be no place in Al- Sham for other than the rule of Allah, in compliance to the words of Allah:

{ فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا }
"But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. " (4:65)

And to the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family:

"عقر دار الخلافة بالشام"
"The centre abode of Khilafah is in Al-Sham".

Furthermore, we emphasize that we reject gradualism in implementing Islam, because it means mixing Islam and kufr, between truth and falsehood, under the label of gradualism. Indeed, "gradualism" is actually "rolling" in the arms of the West and the people of disbelief, who would not accept for Islam to have any power. We look forward to a Khilafah State that includes not only Egypt and Syria under the banner of al-'uqab (banner of the Prophet - saw), but every Muslim land that once the banner of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) fluttered over. The Prophet (SAW) said:

"This matter (Islam) will surely reach wherever there was night and day. Allah will never leave a house made of clay or tent without bringing this deen into it, whether by glory of a mighty person or by humiliation of a humiliated person. It is a glory by which Allah strengthens Islam, and a humiliation by which Allah disgraces disbelief." It is narrated by Ahmad.

An advice to Muslims working in the financial sector

Assalam wa alaikum wa rahmatullah wabarakatahu, Dear Brothers & Sisters, We are saddened to see Muslims today even those who practise many of the rules of Islam are working in jobs which involve haram in the financial sector. They are working in positions which involve usurious (Riba) transactions, insurance, the stock market and the like. Even though many of the clear evidences regarding the severity of the sin of Riba are known, some have justified their job to themselves thinking that they are safe as long as they are not engaged in the actual action of taking or giving Riba. Brothers & Sisters, You should know that the majority of jobs in the financial sector, even the IT jobs in this area are haram (prohibited) as they involve the processing of prohibited contracts. If you work in this sector, do not justify your job to yourself because of the fear of losing your position or having to change your career, fear Allah as he should be feared and consider His law regard

Q&A: Age of separating children in the beds?

Question: Please explain the hukm regarding separation of children in their beds. At what age is separation an obligation upon the parents? Also can a parent sleep in the same bed as their child? Answer: 1- With regards to separating children in their beds, it is clear that the separation which is obligatory is when they reach the age of 7 and not since their birth. This is due to the hadith reported by Daarqutni and al-Hakim from the Messenger (saw) who said: When your children reach the age of 7 then separate their beds and when they reach 10 beat them if they do not pray their salah.’ This is also due to what has been narrated by al-Bazzar on the authority of Abi Rafi’ with the following wording: ‘We found in a sheet near the Messenger of Allah (saw) when he died on which the following was written: Separate the beds of the slave boys and girls and brothers and sisters of 7 years of age.’ The two hadiths are texts on the separation of children when they reach the age of 7. As for the

Q&A: Shari' rule on songs, music, singing & instruments?

The following is a draft translation from the book مسائل فقهية مختارة (Selected fiqhi [jurprudential] issues) by the Mujtahid, Sheikh Abu Iyas Mahmoud Abdul Latif al-Uweida (May Allah protect him) . Please refer to the original Arabic for exact meanings. Question: What is the Shari’ ruling in singing or listening to songs?  What is the hukm of using musical instruments and is its trade allowed? I request you to answer in detail with the evidences? Answer: The Imams ( Mujtahids ) and the jurists have differed on the issue of singing and they have varying opinions such as haraam (prohibited), Makruh (disliked) and Mubah (permissible), the ones who have prohibited it are from the ones who hold the opinion of prohibition of singing as a trade or profession, and a similar opinion has been transmitted from Imam Shafi’i, and from the ones who disliked it is Ahmad Ibn Hanbal who disliked the issue and categorised its performance under disliked acts, a similar opinion has been tran
